Quality Control Assistant
Crawford Company is seeking applicants for a Quality Control Assistant. This position assists the quality control manager in developing, implementing and managing quality control systems designed to ensure continuous production of advanced composite materials and applications (consistent with established standards, customer specifications and production goals).
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service. Investigate and correct customer issues and complaints relating to quality.
- Assists in developing and analyzing statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and to establish quality and reliability expectancy of finished products.
- Formulate, document and maintain quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives.
- Coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other plant managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
- Assists with creating, documenting and implementing inspection criteria and procedures.
- Interpret quality control philosophy to key personnel within company.
- Provide, and oversee, inspection activity for product throughout production cycle.
- Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes.
- Interact with vendors to ensure quality of all purchased parts.
- Assists in creating and directing environmental test functions and applications.
- Maintain active role on internal continuous improvement teams.
- Assists with designing, developing and implementing quality control training programs.
- Assist with Shipping and Receiving as needed.
- Provide technical and statistical expertise to teams.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position that will require some overtime. This position will be a first shift position during training that will move to second shift once training is completed.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, you are regularly required to talk and hear. This position is active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. You must frequently lift and or move items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
