Crawford Co. is pleased to announce the purchase of a premier self-calibrating 2D/3D parts Laser Inspection system.
The scanner will offer Crawford Co. another tool for its Laser Cutting and Welded Fabrication Divisions. Crawford is the only company in the Quad Cities region to offer 3D scanning technology from VIRTEK. Crawford dramatically increases throughput with the new VIRTEK scanner. The system is designed for First Article Inspection, Quality Reporting (SPC, ISO, Lean, etc.), Reverse Engineering, and now provides Automatic Formed Inspection.
Laser Fast
The scanner captures over 500 data points per second to make part inspections laser-fast, right on Crawford's shop floor.
Laser Accurate
The system quickly performs 100% inspections accurate to +/- 0.002" (0.05mm) for 2D measurement and to +/- .010" for Formal (3D) measurements.
AFM Form Measurement
The AFM option on the Crawford scanner makes 3D measurement simple. The system allows for measurement of heights, edge-to-edge or hole-to-hole on interior flanges and raised features on a wide-variety of materials. This system replaces the necessity of using hand tools for measuring formed (3D) parts.
