Team Crawford Wins Taming of the Slough Corporate Division

Team Crawford Co. captured first place at Saturday's Taming of the Slough Corporate Division. The relay race consisted of a 2-mile kayak, 8-mile mountain bike ride, and 2-mile run.

Crawford finished with a time of 1:34:20. Applestone Home Builders finished second in 1:37:03. Crawford's Jim Wischhusen opened the relay with a strong effort in the kayak, followed by Erik Swanson's solid ride on his mountain bike, and Terry Cahill made quick work of the run course.

Crawford had a another team place third in the corporate division. That team included Kellie Vogt, Justin DeMuynck, and Tony Roelens.

Crawford placed second in the 2009 Corporate Division at Taming.

Crawford's win was the second corporate title in 2010. Team Crawford also won the Corporate Rowing Cup last month.

Team Crawford will return to action with a 5-person relay at the Quad Cities Marathon Sept. 26.
