KONE Centre Earns LEED Platinum; Crawford Served as HVAC Contractor for Project
October 21, 2012MOLINE, IL - Crawford Company served as a design-assistant sub-contractor and was responsible for HVAC work on the recently completed KONE Centre along the Mississippi River in downtown Moline. The project has been recognized as LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Platinum certified for Core and Shell. It is the first project in the state of Illinois to receive this certification.
The outside air unit serves the entire eight-story building, which includes heating, air conditioning, and air filtration. The energy recovery unit assisted in the effort to make the project LEED certified.
