Crawford Completes Railing Project at River Heritage Park

October 9, 2013
DAVENPORT, IA - Crawford Company completed a 800-foot railing project at Davenport's new River Heritage Park. Crawford's Keith Gerks served as project manager from design, fabrication, to installation.
The park sits on the site of one of the area's most notable historical landmarks. The site's history includes: the western side of the first Mississippi River railroad bridge, where the treaty ending the Black Hawk War was signed, how Robert E. Lee surveyed the river's rapids, and Abraham Lincoln's involvement in the Effie Afton incident. In addition to the 800-ft. of railing, the park includes the new Rotary Gazebo. The park sits on a 7-acre green space just up river of the Arsenal Bridge. The park is accessed off of River Drive between 3rd and 4th Streets.
