Ray Hughes Recognized as October Safety Award Recipient

ROCK ISLAND, IL - Crawford Company recognizes Ray Hughes as the recipient of our October Safety award. Ray was nominated for this award by Chris May. Ray recently noticed that a gutter grate located in the sidewalk next to Crawford’s office building had become worn and was beginning to buckle, creating a potential tripping hazard. Taking the initiative on his own time, Ray fabricated and installed a new gutter grate using heavier-gauge material to provide a safer, more durable solution. His initiative, craftsmanship, and commitment to keeping our workplace safe are greatly appreciated!

Ray is a sheet metal journeyman working with the Commercial HVAC team. He has been with the company for seven years.

Along with recognition, Ray received a gift card for his dedication to safety in the workplace.
