Crawford Company Congratulates Scott Chesling on Retirement
December 13, 2018ROCK ISLAND, IL - Crawford Co. honored long-time employee Scott Chesling for his years of service during a reception today. Chesling, who started with the company in 1984, has worked at Crawford for over 34 years. Fellow co-workers, past co-workers, friends, and family joined in recognizing the versatile journeyman that worked on commercial and industrial jobs.
Chesling worked in the field in varying weather conditions and at all hours. He had a versatile skills set that included welding, field installation, shop fabrication, fiberglass products, and extensive application knowledge. Chesling ranks as one of the longest tenured employees in the history of the company. Chesling joined the company at a time it was growing into commercial and industrial markets. He was one of the first to work out of the “new weld shop” in 1986 and out of the 1994 Fab Division expansion. He assisted in the growth of the division and its evolution into stainless fabrication and custom work. As the company diversified over the past two decades, so did Chesling by working in more unique field projects and by helping lead the effort in the field for the Fiberglass FRP Solutions Division.
“Scott grew throughout his career as the company evolved,” said Ian Frink, owner. “His versatility played a key role for us. Scott was on the front line as we transformed our Fab Division from standard work to custom projects. He was able to adapt and grow with us each step of the way.”
