Crawford Co. Fabricates and Installs Lighting at Schwiebert Riverfront Park in RI
July 27, 2010Crawford Co. installed 15 column mounted lighting fixtures at the Quad Cities' newest riverfront icon: Schwiebert Riverfront Park. The fixtures mounted are located throughout the park, which overlooks the Mississippi River. The park is located on the former site of the Rock Island Armory.
The column-mounted lights feature a stainless steel frame with acrylite acrylic panels. In addition to the stage area, the lighting is located on piers, the pavilion area, and main entry.
The grand opening for the park took place during the Red, White, and Boom celebration July 3rd along the riverfront in Rock Island and Davenport.
"We are excited for the new riverfront park in Rock Island and for the opportunity to participate in this project," said Jim Maynard, vice president and project manager for Schwiebert Park. "This park will be an icon for years to come and the lighting plays a key role in the park."
The fabrication and design was performed by Crawford's team of specialty welding fabricators, led by Rich McKown and Al Ehrecke, in conjunction with Valley Construction, Gere-Dismer, and KJWW.
