Crawford 3rd in Corporate Challenge at Taming of the Slough

HAMPTON, IL - Team Crawford Company placed 3rd of six teams in the 2013 Taming of the Slough Corporate Challenge. Badlands Gym placed first (1:36:49), followed by Russell Construction (1:36:53) and Crawford (1:40:17). The race had a total of 112 entries (individuals and teams). Crawford was 14th of the 112 overall.

Crawford placed in the top-3 for the fifth consecutive year in the corporate division, having won the race in 2010, 2011, and 2012. Ian Frink (kayak), Erik Swanson (mountain bike), and Terry Cahill (run) made up this year's team. Swanson was an impressive 6th overall in the mountain bike splits, while Cahill was 24th in the run, and Frink 28th in kayak.

This year's event featured a new venue. The kayak was a loop around Campbell's Island, while the mountain bike was at Illiniwek Park and the run was in McNeal's Preserve.
