Brian Phipps has been named an estimating/drafting assistant at Crawford Co. Phipps, who graduated from Iowa State in 2009, has a bachelor's of science in Construction Engineering. Phipps will work both in Crawford's company divisions and with Monoxivent.

"Brian has a sought after skill set and will be a good team player for us," Ian Frink, vice president, said. "We find ourselves continually being asked to work with 3D modeling, in addition to CAD, during the design phase of projects. Brian will give us depth in this department. Also his background should allow him to work within a number of our divisions fairly easily."

Prior to accepting the Crawford post, Phipps was a full-time estimator at J.F. Edwards Construction. During his time at Iowa State, Phipps also was a four-year member of the university's marching and pep bands.

Phipps is a native of Washington, IA, and recently moved to the Quad Cities.
